Rackerhayes Pre-school was established in 1985. It has been located in the Rugby Club since 1997,  we moved in January 2014 to the Chudleigh Road Hall.   The pre-school serves the town of Kingsteignton, Newton Abbot and the surrounding rural areas. We have good links with all 3 primary schools in Kingsteignton.

The pre-school accepts children from two  until they reach school age. We welcome children with special needs; we have good links with our Early Years Consultants, Teign Valley Children’s Centre and with both primary schools in the town of Kingsteignton.

The accommodation comprises of a spacious hall, toilets, kitchen and fully enclosed, secure outside garden areas for the children to play in. Including a ‘mud kitchen’ for the children to enjoy and explore.

The children are cared for by a staff of nine, who work a variety of full and part time hours, the majority of which have an appropriate early years qualification.

The pre-school also operates within a high adult to child ratio, above that laid out in the National Standards.
